Who are the Saints that are actively pursuing us?
Ask, and the revelation of their friendship will be made known to you.
All you Holy Men and Women, thank you for praying for us!
This revelation was given to me while meditating on Saint Teresa of Avila’s poem, ‘Let Nothing Disturb You’, for 45 minutes in a deeply broken, fearful and dark state. I attempted to end this meditation many times, yet she gently encouraged me to press on to the end, which she herself determined on my behalf.
At the close of this 45 minute meditation I received a powerful infusion of hope through grace, that immediately brought me out of fear and darkness, gently placing me in the awareness of God Our Father’s Presence; (this message can be heard in the above video). My heart was flooded with gratitude, and much like my previous encounters with Our Lord and Our Lady, these experiences are so beautifully overwhelming that it seems my body, soul, and mind cannot ‘hold’ them nor express an appropriate response, except to spontaneously shed tears of thanksgiving for the gifts that God chooses to pour into the depth of my weakness and lack of trust.
Who are the Saints that are actively pursuing us? To offer guidance and assistance in our need? Ask them, they have been waiting to reveal themselves, to begin a mutual friendship with you.
Through the intercession of Saint Teresa of Avila, God has shown me that this message is at the very foundation of our purpose. Every act of service flows from here; to be of maximum service to God and every single soul that He places in our path; “to BE a vessel of God’s Presence.” The surest way out of our misery is to get out of our own head and be of loving service to others. God looks upon all of us as His precious and glorious Sons and Daughters in whom He finds great delight. (see Isaiah 43:4, 62:4, Psalm 18:19). The ongoing, deepening awareness of this truth from God in contemplative prayer meditation opens up a greater capacity to BE God’s vessel of love and mercy.
It has been made very clear to me that Saint Teresa sought me and led me to participate in this encounter with her. “I feel like I can’t breathe, I can’t see God in Himself or in His Creation. Like I’m under water.” This was my experience in these dark times as I would plead with Saint Pope John Paul II to intercede for me and just lift my head above water so that I may see and take a deep breath.
I would experience God’s Presence then, as I was participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, but only for a few moments. I would hold this gift as a treasure in constant remembrance that Jesus Is Here. Help me to suffer this with You and for you Lord, until you decide to send Your relief, in Your perfect timing.
Many thanks to our daughter Gianna who directed, filmed and edited this short film. Gianna and I are very grateful for the young lady who portrayed me. She is a deeply prayerful soul who lives her days in loving service to others, especially in the life of our parish.
Gianna is a graduate from John Paul The Great Catholic University in San Diego California, with a degree in film. Their mission statement is ‘to impact the culture for Christ.’ Together we have many films that we intend to share as they come to fruition. Please pray for us, and be assured of our prayers for you and your families.
